Cherish the Chapel

Leading Lines and Symmetry

I captured this chapel right before a wedding ceremony took place. My goal was for viewers to focus on the most important space in the room, the altar. The lines in the flooring and the beams in the ceiling lead the viewer's eyes down the aisle straight to the cross on the altar. The way the light beamed into the window above the cross down the aisle caught my eye. I especially liked how simple the decor was. I wasn’t overwhelmed by floral decor and candles. I was able to take in the rustic farmhouse wood and natural lighting. During the ceremony what stood out the most was the bride and groom. The light naturally bounced off of their smiles and the bride's white dress. Overall, this image captured a moment of less is more. By keeping the chapel simple and embracing what was already there, the crowd was able to fully appreciate the presence of the bride and groom.

Laughs of Love

Framing and Framing Technique

I captured this lovely bride and groom on their way to their reception. This photo was taken candidly as they made their happy journey to meet their guest and have their first dance. In this moment I saw love that was translated through natural smiles. The architecture and design of the building, arch way and contrasting colors are what will keep viewers interested to appreciate the image. The image has a cozy and warm feeling. It creates a desire to see more from this couple’s wedding.

Beauty & Bridesmaids

Rule of Thirds

I captured the bridesmaids and the bride pre ceremony. I wanted to focus on everyone showing the bride love and support during her special day. The main subjects’ eyes are on the horizontal line. I saw symmetry with the even number of bridesmaids on both sides. This image is a soft focused image to convey comfort and balance to keep viewers interested with the photo. This image provides a sense of joy and excitement through the eyes and smiles of the bridesmaids and bride.
